Never done an escape room, or torn between two rooms? Here’s everything you need to know before coming to play at Joueurz, 66 rue Joseph de Maistre, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris.
How an escape room works
Your team is locked inside a life-size set. To get out within 60 minutes, you have to search, work mechanisms, solve puzzles and above all talk to each other. No need to be sporty or to know the rules, and it isn’t a horror game: plenty of adrenaline, no scares.
Two themes, five rooms
- The Infernal Cruise (adventure, 3 rooms, from age 7): a breakdown, panic, a blow to the head… When you wake up, you’re the only ones left on board. Evacuate before the ship sinks.
- The Studio (music and infiltration, 2 rooms, from age 12): spotted by a record label, you have to secretly record your track before the label’s star band steals your music.
Each room takes 2 to 6 players. For groups, book several identical rooms: up to 12 players on The Studio, 18 on The Infernal Cruise and 30 across our 5 rooms at the same time.
How your game unfolds
- Welcome and briefing: lockers for your belongings, safety instructions and the story set-up by your Game Master.
- 60 minutes of play: your Game Master follows you live and helps if needed.
- Debrief and photo: a look back at your game, the puzzles you nearly solved, and the team photo to remember it.
Allow 1h20 to 1h30 on site. Arrive at the exact time of your booking: no need to come early.
Our tips to get out in time
- Say out loud everything you find: a clue kept in your pocket is a lost clue.
- Split up the space at the start, then bring together what you’ve found.
- Don’t stay stuck on the same puzzle for too long: move on to another one, or ask your Game Master for a hint.
- Keep an eye on the clock, and on the mood: a relaxed team thinks better.
How much does a game cost?
The price depends on the number of players in the room. At peak times: €104 for 2, €114 for 3, €132 for 4, €150 for 5 and €168 for 6 players. Reduced off-peak rates apply: look for the “-15%” badge on the booking calendar.
